LettuceKnow

The research program “LettuceKnow, Science-Based Improvement of Salad” aims to establish lettuce as a powerful model crop for research on plant resilience and architecture.

The LettuceKnow program will run from 2019 to 2025, is carried out by 12 academic research groups, and is supported by a NWO-TTW Perspective grant (see video below, in Dutch with English subtitles) and 7 vegetable breeding companies.

LettuceKnow is structured as one integrated research program with synergistic exchange and collaboration between university groups and company researchers.
